Job Title: Weekend Admissions Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Weekend Admissions Registered Nurse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for initiating the start of care and coordinating the development and implementation of care plans for our clients. Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Admissions/Start of Care visits with clients and their families
  • Perform client intake assessments and complete and document the client start of care
  • Submit required documentation for prior authorization of client services as needed based on client's pay sources
  • Document any verbal orders for the Admission/Start of Care through timely communication with the client's physician and other caregivers
  • Support agency audits and other visits as needed
  • Provide care in patients' homes using a variety of skills such as phone triage, patient education, observation/assessment, wound care, infusions, catheter care, PICC line dressing changes, etc.

Requirements:

  • An active RN License in the state of application
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Medicare Skilled Nursing experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of Oasis and ICD 9/10 knowledge a plus
  • 1-year RN experience in a healthcare setting
