Overview



The Alameda Health System is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Director of Radiologic Services. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Imaging Services department, developing policies, managing budgets, and contributing to long-range planning.



About the Role



This Director will be accountable for analyzing sick leave, overtime, and payroll records to ensure efficient department operation. They will also serve as a liaison between hospital administration and radiologists, ensuring that staff follows age-specific policy and procedures.



Responsibilities




  • Analyze employee attendance and work hours to optimize resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with hospital administrators to develop policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain open communication channels with radiologists to address any concerns or issues.
  • Perform ARRT duties as required to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure timely and courteous service to patients and families.
  • Review and analyze quarterly performance reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to stay up-to-date on medical management and technological advancements in radiology.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with other departments and agencies within the healthcare system.
  • Manage personnel recruitment, evaluation, and promotion processes in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Plan and coordinate departmental in-service education programs to promote professional growth and development.
  • Monitor safety compliance through regular audits and quality assurance initiatives.


Requirements



To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory position within a Radiology/Imaging Services department is also required.



Additionally, the successful candidate will hold a valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health and current certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).



Compensation



The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health plan, generous paid time off, and rich retirement plans.
