Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for epidemiology and data analysis? Do you have experience working with large datasets and a strong understanding of public health principles? We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Data Analyst to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Epidemiology and Surveillance: Conduct epidemiological studies and surveillance projects to identify trends and patterns in antimicrobial resistant organisms.
  • Leadership and Education: Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical assistance to public health department epidemiologists, infection preventionists, and other stakeholders.
  • Communication: Prepare and disseminate information to internal and external stakeholders regarding antimicrobial resistant organisms using various tools and platforms.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Skills: Expertise in epidemiology and biostatistics, knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to notifiable conditions and HAI, and proficiency in using Microsoft Office and the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System.
  • Abilities: Ability to independently conduct epidemiological surveillance, collect, analyze, and interpret data, and make recommendations based on data analysis results.
