This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence two days a week at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA.

Your Responsibilities:
Embrace and promote nuclear safety culture and human performance tools at Westinghouse.

Assist in or lead departmental projects, which may involve:

- Enhancing processes for future estimation in New Plant Builds
- Developing a database for Front End Engineering Development (FEED) scopes and technical descriptions
- Streamlining efforts for Long Lead procurement items (LLIs) and AP1000 construction support
- Collaborating with construction partners, module suppliers, potential clients, and regulators to support stakeholder engagement plans
- Contributing to various aspects of future bidding and proposal initiatives

This entails:
- Analyzing technical specifications for new nuclear power plants from prospective clients
- Evaluating technical specifications for partnership proposals from other plant design organizations


Formulating Westinghouse's technical positions with guidance from relevant technical teams, your supervisor, and seasoned professionals in the department. Defend these positions in discussions with potential clients or partners.


Assess incoming technical inquiries and devise a response strategy. These inquiries may arise from interactions with existing module suppliers, prospective clients, regulatory bodies, or internal projects.


When assigned a technical inquiry, your role, supported by your supervisor and experienced team members, will be to collaborate with the broader Global Engineering Services organization to create a response plan and provide cost estimates.

Gather existing technical design data across various disciplines into comprehensive reports. Once the response plan is approved, your responsibility will be to execute the plan effectively.


If the tasks are to be carried out by our department, this involves completing your assigned duties on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


If some tasks are delegated to other teams, this includes coordinating with the responsible engineering groups for any necessary calculations, analyses, or reviews to ensure adherence to our timelines, budget, and quality commitments.


Who You Are:
As an ideal candidate, you will possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build effective networks across various functional areas.
