Your Responsibilities:


Oversee all project management activities for medium complexity initiatives or a segment of highly intricate projects.

Guide small to medium-sized teams (up to 30 members), which may encompass project controls and deputy project managers, and act as the project manager for assigned project proposals.

May assume overall project manager duties for a highly complex project in a supportive role under the guidance of a Program Manager or higher.

Example project areas include Fuel and Reload Engineering/Safety Analysis Engineering, Software, Innovation/Product Development, and Process Enhancement. All project management is conducted in alignment with established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.


Execute all facets of the planning process, including drafting project plans and developing scope, schedule, cost baselines, resource allocation, financial forecasts, and risk assessments.

Manage project execution to surpass quality, schedule, and financial objectives while adhering to departmental protocols for team member acquisition.

This encompasses:
Management of scope, schedule, cost/revenue, risk, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders in accordance with project/contract specifications.

Preparation and oversight of project cost/revenue expenditures, forecasts, and progress evaluations to support project and financial reporting needs.


Encourage collaboration and effective communication, including the issuance and maintenance of project process metrics and process maps to keep the team, customer, and all stakeholders informed of project status.


Develop and/or supervise project databases, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient management and transmission of internal/external project correspondence and documentation.


Conclude projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools, and enhance the closeout process by identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk mitigation for future endeavors.


Act as the primary liaison to customer projects, utilizing interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with the team, customer, and other stakeholders (including Product Management) to effectively facilitate project completion and identify business growth opportunities.

Identify, evaluate, and implement improvement initiatives that will add value.

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you bring the following qualifications to the team:

A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related technical field.


A minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager leading and directing medium or high complexity projects to successful completion; 10 or more years of relevant PM experience is highly preferred.

Broad technical knowledge of nuclear power plants is desirable.

Possession of Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional certification, or an approved equivalent.

Preferred:

10 years of experience as a project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction.

Strong working knowledge in project scheduling, cost, and risk management processes and associated tools (e.g., Primavera, SAP, Active Risk Manager, or other related tools).


Advanced ability or understanding of transforming data into information for visual reports; database concepts for managing data within systems; and the interaction of company functions that are interconnected with projects (Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.).

High-quality presentation skills.

Expected to complete assigned training in Westinghouse Systems, Procedures, and Policies relevant to assignments.
