POSITION SUMMARY
As a Commercial Landscape Equipment Technician, your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a diverse array of commercial landscape machinery. Your skills will guarantee that our equipment functions at optimal levels, enhancing our landscaping services and ensuring customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Execute thorough diagnostics and repairs on various commercial landscape machinery, including skid steers, mini skid steers, mowers, 2-cycle tools, trucks, trailers, and chippers.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out regular and preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunctions and prolong the lifespan of machinery.
  • Inspection and Testing: Assess and test equipment to confirm optimal functionality and safety. Implement necessary adjustments or repairs to uphold high performance standards.
  • Documentation: Keep precise records of maintenance and repair activities, detailing parts utilized and labor hours.
  • Time Management: Organize and adhere to scheduled repair and maintenance timelines, ensuring prompt and efficient service delivery.
  • Safety Standards: Comply with all safety protocols and guidelines while servicing equipment, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.

    CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
    Valid TX Driver License Required

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years in a mechanic role focusing on commercial landscape machinery.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with skid steers, mini skid steers, mowers, 2-cycle tools, trucks, trailers, chippers, and other landscape equipment.
  • Time Management: Familiarity with scheduled repair timelines preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in machinery repair and maintenance preferred.
  • Tools and Equipment: Skilled in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to landscape machinery.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail in diagnosing and addressing mechanical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities for collaborating with team members and providing updates on equipment status.
  • Physical Endurance: Capability to lift heavy machinery and work in diverse outdoor conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (all tasks may be performed for extended periods):

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, or use ladders and carry materials for long durations in various weather conditions and in areas with high vehicular and pedestrian traffic, dust, and noise. Frequently required to lift and transport objects weighing over 50 pounds across both paved and uneven terrains. Must be available for on-call emergencies. Must work at varying heights and maintain safe distances from electrical hazards with the potential risk of falling. Must operate machinery and equipment with utmost caution, including hydraulic aerial lifts, wood chippers, stump grinders, winches, chainsaws, and handsaws. The employee must remain physically alert and aware at all times, especially when handling heavy machinery or driving.
