Position Overview

Role: Financial Risk Engineer

Location: Hybrid Work Model

This role is integral to a team that delivers risk analytic computations and reports to asset managers, investors, and regulatory bodies. The team oversees position-level data, evaluates the risk attributes of investment positions, employs suitable financial models, and customizes results to align with the necessary reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee investment position data for integration into the risk calculation system.
  • Execute financial models necessary for calculating client-required metrics.
  • Review reported outcomes for precision and accuracy.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports to clients.
  • Clarify and respond to client inquiries regarding risk calculations and reports.
  • Support the preparation of sales demonstrations for potential clients.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in mathematics, particularly in financial mathematics.
  • Experience with large datasets and financial analysis software.
  • Proficiency in programming and database languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in financial or risk mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Completion or plans to undertake CFA Charter holder or FRM courses/exams.
  • Proficient in coding with Python, SQL, and VBA.
