We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our registration team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience from registration to discharge.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately complete the registration process for patients, including data entry and verification of patient information.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Insurance and Billing: Verify patient insurance coverage, collect copays and deductibles, and accurately post payments to patient accounts.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, including nursing, radiology, and laboratory, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with general computer experience and data entry skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance regulations.
This is a full-time position, working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
