Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our patient service centers. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw blood samples from patients with skill, safety, and accuracy
  • Prepare specimens for lab testing while maintaining a safe and professional environment
  • Verify patient demographic information and initials to ensure accurate labeling
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and employees
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
