The Maintenance Mechanic I is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment in the RDC. This role requires a skilled repair person with expertise in RDC systems and building components.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment, including conveyors, rolling stock, and building components.
- Diagnose equipment issues, determine repair needs, and prioritize work to minimize downtime.
- Obtain or order spare parts as needed and execute repairs safely and efficiently.
- Mentor junior team members and seek assistance from senior technicians or supervisors as needed.
- 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on electrical/electronic theory and systems up to 600 volts.
- Valid state driver's license and ability to work in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work safely with corrosive materials and at heights of 20+ feet.
- Proven record of complying with safety requirements and ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or technical school graduate.
- Experience with welding and fabrication, electrical work, and high voltage work.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
