Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Tidewater Express Inc. in Hampton, VA or Chesapeake, VA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy duty diesel vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on commercial vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs
  • Work closely with service advisors and management to provide economical and effective repair solutions
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a medium/heavy duty truck or school bus mechanic
  • Proven working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
  • Excellent customer etiquette and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English language
  • Valid USA driver's license
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools
