Aerotek is Seeking a Skilled Diesel Mechanic

Aerotek is on the lookout for a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the naval bases in Norfolk/Chesapeake. This is a fantastic contract-to-hire opportunity with a reputable company, offering competitive pay starting from $20/hour up to $30/hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel engines
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Overhaul major assemblies and systems, including power train differentials, transaxles, electronic fuel injection systems, and emission control systems
  • Work closely with a General Mechanic or General Foreman to meet labor hour standards
  • Must not be a mobile service mechanic; work requires critical thinking and independent judgment at customer sites
