We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Tidewater Express Inc. in Hampton, VA or Chesapeake, VA. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on heavy duty diesel vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Work with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective repair processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and education
- 3+ years of experience as a medium/heavy duty truck or school bus mechanic
- Thorough knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
- Excellent customer etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English language
- Valid USA driver's license
- Pass a DOT physical
