Job Overview:

The Field Service Technician role is a critical part of the Vermont Maintenance Department, reporting to the Director of Field Maintenance. This position is responsible for maintaining 100+ gasoline locations, working with a team of technicians, and performing on-call rotations. The Field Service Technician will be in the field 5 days a week, interacting with station dealers and managers regularly. Key responsibilities include maintaining Passport and VeriFone POS systems, as well as dispensers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and upgrade Dispensers and POS systems in 100+ sites across VT and NH
  • Become certified on Gilbarco dispensers and POS as well as VeriFone POS and Wayne dispensers
  • Prepare and accompany VT State inspectors at Global Partners owned facilities as needed
  • Perform onsite maintenance of UST equipment and alarms as needed
  • Daily travel with occasional overnights

Qualifications:
  • Able to manage and take ownership of your work with limited supervision
  • Consistently meet deadlines and are results-oriented
  • Willing to learn and become certified on different POS systems and components
  • Ability to do occasional light handyman work as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Windows, IT capability is a plus
Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge preferred
  • Experience working in the petroleum industry a plus
  • Preferred knowledge of Fuel Dispensers and Point of Sale systems is a plus
  • Experience in retail petroleum industry is a plus
