The Robotics Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing projects for the Autonomous Robotics Operations (ARO) product line. This position is essential for driving ARO revenue and ensuring project profitability by delivering services safely, on schedule, and within the allocated budget for the assigned scopes of work (SOW).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the execution of ARO projects at client locations where the company operates, which may involve on-site management or coordination of SLB Robotics Engineers.
  • Oversees the scheduling of personnel, equipment, software, and related contractors to ensure effective project execution.
  • Enhances ARO revenue by identifying and expanding SOWs for client projects through the discovery of additional value-added activities during project implementation.
  • Facilitates training and certification for the ARO field service team to ensure proper qualifications for project execution.
  • Provides technical insights to commercial teams during project planning and proposal phases.
  • Recognizes and communicates additional opportunities for the Production Systems (PS) and Digital portfolio during ARO project execution.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assist in external marketing and promotion efforts.
    • Gather and relay customer feedback.
    • Engage in robotics-related associations and activities.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BA or BS degree in mechatronics, engineering, or computer science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the robotics field is required.
  • Experience in various robotics applications such as:
    • Ground Robotics (including quadrupeds, wheeled, or tracked robots)
    • Inspection Robotics
    • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)
    • Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
    • Extended Reality (XR) and Virtual Reality (VR)
    • Oil & Gas operations across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors
  • Demonstrated skills in opportunity management, capable of handling multiple tasks while efficiently closing opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans tactically and efficiently, supported by excellent documentation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a focus on prioritization and goal setting.
  • Technical acumen to understand and propose solutions based on client needs.
  • Proactive mindset with a quick ability to learn new methods, strategies, and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work and reside in the US without sponsorship and be willing to travel as necessary for project execution.
