The Activities Representative is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for guests' activities at Capital Vacations. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement resort activities for all resort guests, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience.
  • Maintain and balance operational expenses for the department, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Design and implement special events for holidays and other occasions, promoting a festive atmosphere.
  • Coordinate special projects and events with off-site vendors and attractions, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Publish and design weekly activities calendar, keeping guests informed of upcoming events.
  • Purchase and maintain sports equipment and gaming library, ensuring a wide range of options for guests.
  • Provide quality control of recreational areas, including basketball courts, tennis courts, pool areas, and children's playground, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Provide follow-up reports to management with regard to special projects and responsibilities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Assist in the planning of employee-related functions within the workplace, promoting team building and morale.
  • Supervise and train staff where necessary, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
  • Provide exemplary guest service to all owners, exchangers, and resort guests, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Use and maintain all office equipment, including computers, color laser printers, fax machines, digital cameras, and scanners, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Perform all other related duties and projects as assigned by immediate supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required (some college preferred).
  • Minimum one year of experience in guest service/retail.
  • Minimum one year of recreational activities experience.
  • Timeshare experience a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate guests to engage in activities.
  • Ability to perform multi-task functions in coordination with management.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage, direct, and complete assigned duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
