Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Leader to join our team at the Office Furniture Center in Chicago. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and identifying new business opportunities through research, cold calling, and lead generation.

About the Role
  • Promote all product and labor service offerings of the Office Furniture Center and MAC Relocations business units.
  • Qualify leads and turn them over to sales representatives for follow-up.
  • Develop strategies, execution plans, and collateral to introduce and position OFC and MAC in new procurements.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Research target demographics, economic trends, customer needs, and interests to create business development strategies.
  2. Oversee lead generation efforts through cold calling, business-to-business selling, and other methods.
  3. Build relationships with new and existing customers and industry partners through consistent follow-up and communication.
  4. Present sales pitches and data to potential prospects to promote company brands and value.
  5. Update the NetSuite CRM system with business opportunity data, including customer, contacts, and opportunity-specific data.
Requirements
  • High energy, resourcefulness, and creativity.
  • Results-driven and never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing situations or group dynamics.
  • Broad understanding of office furniture industry practices and norms.
  • CRM and data management experience preferred.
