Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Financial Advocate, you will engage in proactive communication with patients through outbound calls in a high-energy call center setting. Your primary focus will be to follow a structured dialogue to assist patients in managing their financial responsibilities.
This role allows you to utilize your analytical abilities to assess patient eligibility for additional financial resources to help them meet their obligations.Your performance will be evaluated based on established metrics, with top achievers receiving monetary bonuses on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Core Duties:
- Conduct inbound and outbound calls to facilitate payment arrangements for patients.
- Address patient inquiries regarding billing.
- Negotiate payment terms and plans with patients.
- Process credit card transactions.
- Refer complex billing issues to senior associates or supervisors for resolution.
- Achieve or surpass daily productivity goals.
- Comply with all relevant disclosure and collection regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current college coursework.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, preferably using a Dialer.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to account collections.
- Strong follow-through skills to meet daily performance targets.
- Exceptional customer service abilities with proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Moderate computer proficiency (internet, email, MS Office) gained through previous employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to see, read, and operate computers, telephones, and office equipment, which includes manual dexterity for handling documents and equipment.
Capability to remain seated, standing, or walking for extended periods while performing tasks on a computer or other devices.
Frequent interaction with colleagues, healthcare providers, patients, and visitors requiring effective verbal communication and the ability to quickly comprehend spoken information, especially in urgent situations.
For this position, the base hourly wage is $21.11, with individual compensation determined by various factors including role, level, location, skills, experience, and education.
