Position Overview: The Credentialing Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing the credentialing procedures for healthcare practitioners, ensuring adherence to health plan and regulatory standards, while maintaining precise documentation. This position demands proficiency with various credentialing software and the capacity to thrive in a high-energy setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and uphold current and precise information for all healthcare providers.
- Complete applications for provider payer enrollment and track their progress.
- Maintain up-to-date copies of state licenses, DEA certifications, malpractice insurance, and other essential credentialing documents.
- Establish and manage provider data within credentialing databases and systems.
- Monitor license and certification expiration dates to ensure timely renewals.
- Verify that practice addresses are accurate with health plans, agencies, and other relevant entities.
- Conduct audits of health plan directories to ensure accurate provider information.
- Provide verification of credentialing and privileging.
Qualifications:
- Experience in credentialing, particularly with Illinois payors (experience with Michigan, New Jersey, Indiana, Texas, and Ohio payors is advantageous).
- Familiarity with credentialing software such as One App, Pecos, CAQH, Webcrawler, and Impact.
- Experience in working with credentialing contracts and health plans.
- Strong attention to detail, technologically adept, and proficient with computer systems.
- Positive references that highlight attendance and punctuality.
