Position Overview:
This is a hybrid role, allowing flexibility with a combination of remote work and in-office responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily examination of incoming Government solicitations through filtering software to assess potential contract opportunities and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Analyze supplier estimates for material costs and delivery timelines, preparing competitive bids accordingly.
- Manage RFQ and Purchase Order (PO) expediting, while monitoring supplier performance.
- Identify potential delivery delays and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipping and supplier payments, providing assistance to buyers, program managers, and team members.
- Conduct data entry, generate status reports, and maintain comprehensive records related to bids, purchases, shipments, and returns of damaged goods.
- Engage with suppliers and customers to ensure efficient order processing and high-quality customer service.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant customer service experience.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement activities, supplier/vendor expediting, and RFQ follow-ups.
- Previous exposure to Government contracting is advantageous.
