About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Experienced Software Developer to join our team at Gainwell Technologies. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing complex software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Development: Support the development of Medicaid Payer Systems, including design, development, and testing.
  • Design and Development: Create highly complex design documents and translate them into component-level designs to accelerate development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead development team efforts to provide flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness.
  • Analysis and Design: Analyze, design, and review the design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans for Unit Testing and Performance Testing.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply Gainwell and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity.
Requirements
  • Programming Experience: 4+ years of programming experience writing code using C.
  • Linux/Unix Scripting: 4+ years of Linux/Unix scripting experience.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of SQL, Oracle, and/or other databases.
  • Healthcare Experience: 2+ years of application development experience in Healthcare Payer Systems, preferably in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
  • Functional Knowledge: 2+ years of functional knowledge in any of the following functional areas: Claims processing, Member Eligibility, Managed Care, Reference, Drug Rebate, TPL, Prior Authorization, Pharmacy claims, Provider Enrollment, Provider Management, and Financial.
Desirable Skills
  • Software Design: Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
  • Testing Tools: Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
  • Quality and Security: Understanding of quality and security standards.
  • Communication: Able to communicate design and function internally and with external clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Self-motivated problem solver who actively participates in solution development.
