About the Role

Sapphire Ventures LLC is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Investment Manager to join our team. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and working closely with our portfolio companies to drive growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings with fund managers to discuss investment opportunities and strategies
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis and market research
  • Oversee the diligence work of associates and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Monitor existing investments and provide regular updates to the investment team
  • Model and analyze fund returns to inform investment decisions
  • Manage the deal pipeline and data analysis for research and internal projects
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in capital allocation, asset management, venture capital, or private equity investing
  • At least 3 years of experience in secondary transactions and/or direct private investments, with a track record of leading deals from initial diligence to closing
  • Extensive knowledge of the venture capital, growth, and technology landscape
  • Mastery of Excel and experience creating and evaluating financial models
  • Prior experience with private fund placement documents, financial reports, and investor presentations
  • High degree of professional presence, including clear communication, ownership of work output, and timely, accurate, and reliable deliverables
  • Experience interacting with and communicating with venture capital and/or private equity general partners
  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented personality with the ability to work independently
