As a Cloud Engineer at Network and Data Solutions Integrators (NDSI), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of enterprise IT. Your contributions will directly enhance the systems that are crucial for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with security protocols for system operations.
  • Enhance and maintain existing infrastructure, focusing on scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for all processes and systems.
  • Manage AWS environments utilizing services such as EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAM.
  • Oversee and optimize AWS WorkSpaces.
  • Automate service deployments to improve efficiency.
  • Deliver full-stack web applications to production, addressing operational challenges as they arise.
  • Engage in the technical requirements-gathering process through meetings with stakeholders.
  • Design and implement application features with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct unit testing and maintain code quality standards.
  • Develop applications supported by relational databases, applying RDB design principles.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT.
  • Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, holding one of the following certifications: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Amazon Web Services.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities across various tiers.
  • Experience with Angular for frontend development and UI/UX design.
  • Familiarity with microservice architectures and REST APIs.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementations, preferably using GitLab.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and systems administration across various platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of cloud APIs and AWS CLI interactions.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, CSS, and Markdown.
  • Database management experience, particularly with Postgres.
  • Proficiency in task automation using scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including GitLab and Jira.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • Agile/SAFe certifications.
