Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, assess, and revise Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation necessary for compliance with FISMA regulations.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams to ensure adherence to security controls and standards.
  • Engage with System Owners and control assessors to formulate actionable Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified issues.
  • Perform regular evaluations of information systems to verify compliance with security authorization protocols.
  • Track and report on the progress of POA&M remediation efforts.
  • Act as a primary contact for inquiries related to cybersecurity.
  • Guide System Owners on best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Clarify cybersecurity policies and regulations as needed.
  • Coordinate with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) and O&M teams to facilitate account approvals.
  • Work with O&M and Identity Credentials & Access Management (ICAM) teams to oversee user authentication processes.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineering and O&M teams to identify and document system asset information.
  • Coordinate with security and O&M teams to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in the development and updating of Security Awareness Training materials.
  • Work with the Security Operations Center, Incident Response teams, and federal personnel to report security incidents and breaches.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or six years of relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, engineering, incident response, or related information assurance/security roles.
  • Possession of DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher certification upon commencement.
  • Two to three years of experience in supporting secure operations of cloud computing systems under FISMA.
  • Strong knowledge of the Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with enterprise vulnerability management tools, including but not limited to HBSS and Nessus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in small teams with increasing responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Azure AZ-900, Cloud+, CCSP, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
  • Experience with frameworks and guidelines such as Joint SAP Implementation Guide, NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, and Attribute-based Access Control.
  • Familiarity with Azure Sentinel or other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Proficiency in query or scripting languages.

Security Clearance:

  • Required: DOD TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sedentary work involving sitting, standing, walking, and communication.
  • Ability to move about to complete tasks or transition between work sites.
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may include delivering presentations.
  • Frequent interaction with computers.
