Key Responsibilities:
Noblis MSD is in search of an Infrared Systems Engineer to provide direct assistance to US Navy initiatives.
The primary duties and responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to:
• Analyze specifications, technical manuals, and other relevant technical documentation pertaining to Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers on Electrical and Mechanical Engineering tasks, as well as project management activities for designated projects.
• Offer direct support to the technical management of the assigned program.
• Aid in project planning and execution efforts for shipboard HM&E systems.
• Suggest enhancements in design, operation, maintenance, and safety for the assigned systems and equipment.
• Provide supporting technical and logistics documentation related to proposed design enhancements and performance requirements.
• Address all equipment and systems challenges with the appropriate Subject Matter Expert(s).
• Deliver direct support for system design maturity, execution, and deployment of Carrier & Submarine Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
• Maintain Thermal Imaging (Level 1 or 2) Certification.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, or a High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience aboard naval vessels or in maritime environments is advantageous.
• DoD Secret Clearance is mandatory; candidates who can obtain clearance will also be considered.
• This position is primarily remote, with a requirement for 25% travel.
Desired Qualifications:
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in interpreting and understanding technical documentation.
• Capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
