Position Overview

As a successful Business Development Manager within Westlake Commercial (the Commercial Division of Westlake Hardware), your role will be pivotal in driving sales growth and fostering a sales-oriented culture among store teams. Your primary objective will be to enhance sales while nurturing relationships with business customers to ensure sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement
  • Identify and pursue commercial sales opportunities with businesses and multifamily property management clients to expand our commercial account base.
  • Focus on increasing sales with established commercial accounts through relationship-driven sales strategies. Utilize analytics and customer shopping behaviors to optimize sales potential.
  • Exercise discretion in establishing special pricing, custom orders, and tailored solutions within defined parameters.
  • Target new commercial customer segments that demonstrate significant growth potential.
  • Collaborate with local store teams to develop marketing initiatives, events, and promotions to attract and retain commercial accounts.
  • Participate in trade shows and client meetings to promote our offerings.
Team Collaboration
  • Serve as a liaison between commercial clients and store personnel, including General Managers and sales associates.
  • Provide coaching and training to store teams on effective business customer engagement and B2B sales practices.
  • Support store leadership in cultivating a culture that prioritizes commercial sales growth.
  • Partner with store management to integrate B2B strategies into daily operations and enhance customer service.
  • Work with store staff to ensure that product offerings meet the needs of business customers efficiently.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.
