Role Summary

As an Assistant General Manager, you will collaborate with the General Manager to oversee account management in alignment with the approved budget while fulfilling client expectations. Your responsibilities will include implementing safety, sanitation, and maintenance protocols while fostering positive relationships with employees, guests, and clients, as well as coordinating with other departments. You will play a key role in promoting the professional development of the entire team and enhancing interdepartmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee supervisory functions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and mentor employees and managers.
  • Engage in employee meetings and training initiatives.
  • Maintain food costs while upholding quality standards.
  • Manage procurement and inventory processes.
  • Possess knowledge of HACCP controls and proper food storage and usage.
  • Execute related duties and special projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in upscale food service, including at least one year in multi-unit management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities, adaptable to change, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus amidst interruptions.
  • Experience in menu planning in collaboration with chefs.
  • Review operational procedures and challenges to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated business etiquette and client relationship management.
  • Efficient time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong catering experience is essential.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus.
