Overview

Lennar Homes is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Manager to join our team. As a key member of our land acquisition team, you will play a critical role in identifying and acquiring land, lots, and development opportunities that align with our company's growth strategies and market trends.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax maps, real estate market trends, and industry reports to identify potential land acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Land and Development to facilitate due diligence processes, schedule activities, and ensure timely completion of contracted projects.
  • Participate in weekly land acquisition meetings to update the team on potential deals and provide market insights.
  • Assist in rezoning processes, attend meetings with government officials, engineers, and landowners to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory reports, critical dates, contract summaries, and periodic market analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Network with other builders and developers to stay informed about market trends and opportunities, and develop key contacts to enhance our competitive position in the market.
  • Assist management in negotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements, and work with the company's outside attorney to ensure compliance with land contracts.
  • Collaborate with the region attorney to acquire necessary approvals for contract signing.
  • Update the 5-year plan monthly with the VP of Land and VP of Finance to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Provide weekly contract status reports to the division.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management.
  • Knowledge of sales and negotiating principles, as well as real estate market trends and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Valid auto insurance coverage.
