Front Desk Supervisor at Marcus Hotels

The Front Desk Supervisor is essential in maintaining the efficient functioning of all Front Office operations at Marcus Hotels, with a focus on maximizing profitability, managing costs, and upholding exceptional quality standards to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. This role encompasses supervising front desk personnel, greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and coordinating group arrivals.

  • Oversees front desk, reservation, and bell staff as necessary.
  • Ensures all daily responsibilities are completed according to established checklists.
  • Greets and processes guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Handles incoming phone communications.
  • Processes transactions both manually and electronically.
  • Manages cash, credit card transactions, and checks.
  • Distributes mail and messages to guests efficiently.
  • Addresses and resolves guest complaints and issues.
  • Accepts and processes reservations.
  • Provides guests with directions and answers to their inquiries.
  • Schedules wake-up calls for guests.
  • Delivers items to guest accommodations.
  • Replenishes paper and toner in office machines.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Front Office Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in front desk or guest services roles.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills.
  • Proficient typing abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to perform accurate calculations.
  • Supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Aptitude for multitasking effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for various tasks and projects.
