JOB TYPE: Full-time
SCHEDULE: Morning & Evening Shifts
JOB OVERVIEW: Welcome and register guests, deliver prompt and courteous service, and finalize guest accounts upon departure to uphold Crescent's high standards of quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Warmly greet guests with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Utilize a positive and clear speaking voice, actively listen to requests, respond appropriately, and provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Complete the registration process by entering and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming essential details such as guest count and room rates.
- Promote Crescent's marketing initiatives and make suitable room selections based on guest preferences.
- Code electronic keys and provide welcome packets containing room keys and relevant information.
Verify and process credit card authorizations using electronic methods. Manage cash transactions, balance an assigned cash drawer, and accept various forms of payment. Post charges to guest accounts using the computer system.
Promptly answer phone calls with clear communication, input messages into the system, and relay information to guests. Retrieve mail and packages for guests as requested.
Close guest accounts at check-out, ensuring satisfaction. In cases of dissatisfaction, negotiate solutions, which may include authorizing adjustments.
Address guest complaints by conducting thorough investigations to find effective resolutions. Remain calm and composed, especially during busy periods and emergencies. Plan and implement detailed steps using sound judgment.
Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Self-motivated with a consistent demeanor.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Effective communication skills with guests.
- Willingness to assist colleagues and work collaboratively.
- Proficient in using a calculator for basic mathematical tasks.

- Proficient in accessing and inputting information using a computer system.
- Adept at recognizing and responding to emergency situations.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and guests.
