About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Echocardiographer to join our team at DispatchHealth Imaging. As a Mobile Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography studies in a variety of settings, including private residences, senior care facilities, and correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to various locations to perform echocardiography studies using portable equipment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures while performing echo exams.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing echocardiographic studies based on established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Transmit images and associated documentation to cardiologist in a timely manner.
  • Complete all forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Upload required documents into company systems.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle according to company procedures.
Requirements
  • Meet state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform echocardiography studies.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Have a working knowledge of departmental procedures and equipment.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Have basic computer skills to perform data entry.
  • Be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
