Foster Care Case Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Foster Care Case Manager to join our team at American Children's Home. As a key member of our Foster Care department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of foster children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and Evaluate Children and Families: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine their suitability for foster care placement.
- Develop and Implement Service Plans: Create and update service plans to meet the unique needs of each child and family, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Coordinate Placement and Licensing: Collaborate with foster families, social services, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth placement and licensing processes.
- Provide Ongoing Support and Services: Offer regular home visits, counseling, and other support services to foster children and families, promoting stability and positive outcomes.
- Recruit and Train Foster Families: Assist in recruiting and training foster families, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
- Monitor and Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of our Foster Care program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in child welfare or a related field.
- Certifications: CARE and TCI certification required; MAPP, Deciding Together, or CARE Trainer certification preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional bending, stooping, or kneeling.
- Environmental Factors: Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
