Job Summary

Worzalla Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day custodial services and light maintenance to ensure a clean and safe work environment for our associates and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Custodial Services: Perform cleaning assignments on a daily basis, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and scrubbing designated areas using manual and powered equipment.
  • Trash and Recycling: Collect and handle trash and recyclable materials, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean restrooms and replenish towels, tissue, and soap, maintaining a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Remove snow and debris from walk areas, ensuring safe access to our facilities.
  • Baler Room and Recycling Activities: Maintain and document proper shipping weights of recycle trailers, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Building Operations: Assist with building and grounds operations, including loading trucks as required.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify, develop, and implement improvements in work processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

Requirements
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain valid forklift and aerial lift certifications.
  • Independence: Ability to consistently and effectively work independently with little or no direction, following up to complete assignments as required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Ability to demonstrate practical and technical knowledge of the job, including an understanding of work instructions, processes, equipment, and materials to perform the job required.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to consistently and effectively complete work and required paperwork thoroughly, accurately, and neatly, following established processes and procedures required.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Ability to consistently and effectively demonstrate initiative and creativity, teamwork and cooperation, and adhere to and comply with all company and environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and work rules required.
  • Flexibility: Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts as required.
  • Reliability: Prompt and reliable attendance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Custodial/Maintenance Experience: Prior custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude preferred.
