Logistics Support and Quality Control Specialist - National Accounts
A leading manufacturer in the commercial flooring sector is in search of a logistics support specialist to oversee all shipments related to the National Accounts division. Compensation is set at $22/hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage and coordinate an average of 30-40 shipments weekly for the National Accounts division.
  • Collaborate with the National Account Team to fully understand the requirements of each order.
  • Organize the shipment of material orders from offsite warehouses to job sites (LTL, FTL).
  • Ensure Bills of Lading (BOLs) are provided to the shipping department by 4 PM the day before shipping.
  • Maintain communication with the shipping department to confirm shipment arrangements as necessary.
  • Oversee the weekly shipping calendar in alignment with customer installation schedules, making adjustments in coordination with the National Accounts team.
  • Facilitate communication with General Contractors regarding freight coordination.
  • Guarantee timely shipping and delivery of all freight.
  • Dispatch tracking information to customers along with essential documentation (e.g., packing lists and closeout forms).
  • Address issues related to lost or damaged shipments with freight carriers and the internal plant team as required.
  • Perform data entry tasks in collaboration with the Logistics and Quality Assurance Manager to update financial applications, linking purchases to freight companies and adjusting freight costs for accounting purposes; maintain CRM updates.
  • Follow up on necessary closeout documentation for all orders.
  • Work closely with the Logistics and Quality Assurance Manager to achieve the objectives of a developing Quality Assurance department:


o Ensure consistent installation quality by establishing and enforcing installation standards set by management, including reporting and documentation.


o Contribute to Quality Assurance operational goals by providing regular information and analysis for action plans; this includes site visits for firsthand analysis or coordinating repairs through TaskRabbit, communicating quality standards, and establishing customer service benchmarks; proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise, and determine opportunities for installer improvements (retraining, advanced education).


o Formulate actionable quality assurance plans through comprehensive contractor analysis, identifying critical issues and preventive measures; monitor installations to take proactive corrective actions as needed.


o Conduct regular follow-ups with customers regarding deliveries and installations to ensure adherence to our 100% job satisfaction guarantee and service level agreements.


o Validate quality assurance processes by enforcing product specifications and quality attributes, documented through on-site surveys.


o Maintain and enhance product quality through regular audits of products, systems, compliance, and investigating customer complaints.


o Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop new product and engineering designs, as well as training methodologies.


o Prepare documentation and reporting by analyzing and summarizing data and trends, including failed installations, corrective actions, and retraining efforts.

Qualifications:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook

o Familiarity with Google Drive - Sheets, Forms, shared drive

o Eco-Grip installation training - training provided internally

o Full-time position with 100% in-office hours Monday to Friday

o Dress Code:
In-office business casual attire (men: khakis or better, with a belt; women: smart business casual)

o Potential for local travel to job sites.
