Position Overview:
The Tasting Room Specialist plays a vital role in our tasting rooms and restaurants, acting as the primary liaison between guests and the Ballast Point brand.

This role requires a genuine enthusiasm for food and beverages. As a hospitality ambassador, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding food and beverage service, prioritizing customer satisfaction, and consistently enhancing the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome every guest with a warm smile and a friendly greeting, expressing gratitude for their visit and encouraging their return while upholding our high standards of service.
- Share detailed knowledge of Ballast Point's craft beer and food selections with enthusiasm, addressing guest inquiries and providing thoughtful recommendations.
- Adhere to our service protocols to ensure that all food and beverages are served with exceptional care, while monitoring guests' experiences to guarantee satisfaction.
- Demonstrate understanding of local alcohol laws by responsibly verifying guest identification and serving alcohol appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the bar, restaurant, patio, private dining areas, and restrooms.
- Clear away used glassware and plates from dining areas, ensuring that floors and seating are tidy and free of debris.
- Operate the POS system for transactions involving food, beer, and merchandise.
- Collaborate as a respectful team member, communicating effectively and contributing to service improvements.

Qualifications:
- A passion for food and craft beer is essential.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Extensive knowledge of Ballast Point's beer flavors and food pairings is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and complete tasks to the highest standards.
- A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an outgoing personality are crucial.
- Capable of multitasking, problem-solving, and adapting to the flow of the restaurant.
- Current RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate and Food Handlers Certificate are mandatory.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
To perform this role effectively, individuals must be able to meet the physical demands, which include:
- Spending extended periods standing, walking, and remaining stationary.
- Communicating effectively with guests and team members.
- Utilizing taste and smell senses.
- Engaging in various physical activities such as reaching, lifting, and carrying.
- Maintaining cleanliness and handling cleaning products.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this role includes an hourly rate plus tips. The actual pay will depend on various factors such as experience and market conditions.
