Compensation: $19.00 per hour

ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is seeking an Event Service Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring positive interactions with guests while providing exceptional service in a welcoming and efficient manner. The Event Service Specialist is expected to be attentive to guest needs, creating an atmosphere of comfort and importance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and proper setup and execution of events, including arranging tables and chairs.
  • Inspect linens, silverware, and dishware prior to use to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Uphold professionalism and maintain cleanliness and organization in all service areas.
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the start of each shift to confirm room setups are as agreed.
  • Communicate effectively with catering staff regarding any special requests or needs.
  • Assist in keeping events on schedule and relay necessary information to fellow staff members.
  • Deliver an exceptional dining experience by serving food and beverages, attending to customer needs, and ensuring table cleanliness.
  • Properly serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine service at the table.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Greet all guests warmly, adhering to grooming and appearance standards.
  • Understand and communicate the services and products available at the venue.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • High school diploma or GED required; current ServeSafe certification is necessary.
  • Ability to follow directions and perform tasks effectively.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a serving role is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to produce high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of sanitary practices and adherence to grooming standards.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include regular movement throughout the facility, standing for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. This role may require work both indoors and outdoors, depending on event needs.
