Waterfall Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges.

As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our community members. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work.
  • Current licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
  • Experience providing therapy to individuals with diverse mental health needs.
  • Knowledge and experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class completed within 6 months of hire and recertify before the expiration date.
  • One (1) or more years of experience working in healthcare or similar settings as a behavioral or mental health provider.
  • Experience working in a mental health care setting with socioeconomic needs.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) fluency qualifies for additional compensation.
  • Current First Aid or BLS Certification or completion of training within 6 months of hire.
Immunizations Required:
  • TB test (upon hire).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk working at a computer.
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds rarely.
  • Able to travel as needed.
