Job Overview

EDGE Industrial Staffing is actively seeking skilled Production Assembly Technicians.

Shift Details: 1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Compensation: $18 to $21 per hour based on experience.

This role is essential for the assembly of the company's Preconditioned Air Unit (PCA) and Underground Pit equipment. The Production Technician will carry out standard quality tasks to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards, as well as adhere to the company's internal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate installation of mechanical components according to specifications, schematics, and assembly drawings provided by the engineering team.
  • Utilization of hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Troubleshooting, inspecting configurations, reworking, repairing, and testing as necessary.
  • Assisting the Production Team Supervisor as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required; additional education with certification or a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience is required; refrigeration assembly experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fiberglass is advantageous.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is essential.
  • Recent graduates are welcome, provided they are eager to learn and adaptable.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and installation skills related to refrigeration and heating systems.
  • Proficiency in reading both basic and complex diagrams and schematics is necessary.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces that may be heated or cooled.
  • Capable of functioning in a loud production environment.
  • Frequent standing, sitting, and repetitive hand motions are required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular manual dexterity is needed to assemble parts quickly and accurately.
