Your Role

Vena is in search of a proactive Lead Identity Security Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) within our Digital Security's Security Architecture & Engineering (SAE) team. As we expand our product offerings, including new services, our IAM requirements are evolving. Our diverse workforce and clientele necessitate contemporary solutions to address our dynamic business challenges.

In this pivotal position, you will bridge the gap between software development and identity services design, executing and deploying IAM solutions that encompass fine-grained access controls, zero trust principles, identity governance, access management, privileged access management, user provisioning and deprovisioning, and federation.

We utilize a variety of technologies to enhance our tools and platform, including cloud services, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, monitoring solutions, and programming languages such as Ruby, Python, and Go.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee user attribute schemas, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and security protocols.
  • Manage the user lifecycle, including the creation, modification, and removal of user accounts, ensuring timely and precise access management in accordance with security best practices.
  • Develop and implement new identity security measures to safeguard enterprise technologies.
  • Provide technical and architectural insights to product teams, engineers, and corporate IT regarding identity management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer identity experiences that are both cohesive and secure.
  • Lead moderately complex engineering projects within the IAM domain.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in IAM.

Qualifications

  • A proven track record in developing and managing complex Identity Lifecycle and Access Control solutions using industry standards.
  • At least 5 years of experience in information security concepts and security design principles, preferably in a SaaS context.
  • Technical proficiency with identity protocols such as OpenID Connect, SCIM, OAuth, FIDO2, SAML, Federation, and SSO.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and their integration with IAM solutions.
  • Strong background in automation and development using scripting languages to address scalability challenges.
  • Experience in developing privilege management controls utilizing cloud identity services.
  • Ability to mentor and guide teams towards improved security practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Experience in a tech lead role within an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing services in public cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, CCSP, or CEH.
