**About the Role:**
Avera is seeking a skilled Patient Services Representative to provide exceptional patient care and support in our medical office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience for patients and their families.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Answering telephone calls and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Verifying and analyzing health insurance benefits, accepting co-payments, and explaining payment policies and billing/collections processes
- Scheduling appointments using proper telephone and customer service etiquette
- Providing Avera Chart information to patients and assisting with registration and signing up
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- One to two years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Ability to perform basic operations on a computer
**Work Schedule:**
PRN or as needed to cover PTO
**Pay:**
The hourly range for this position is $22.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
