Responsibilities
  • Supervise work of designated in-house mechanics, field mechanics, fuel & lube technicians, and vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies relevant to equipment management and apply accordingly.
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance for designated Company equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as needed.
  • Supervise the inspection and repair of designated Company vehicles and equipment, providing recommendations for course of action.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Oversee mechanics in the performance of all repairs on both light and heavy equipment.
  • Document work performed using system software programs.
  • Maintain OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with the safety department to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Analyze vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain a vendor list, continuously monitoring overall quality of service provided.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet equipment maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient with computer systems related to scheduling, preventative maintenance, and inventory management.
  • General knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Compensation and Benefits

This is a union position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and certifications. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
