Key Responsibilities- Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure that all food prepared in the Asian Cuisine kitchen meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Menu Development and Implementation: Assist the Executive Chef in developing and implementing new menu items and specials.
- Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train kitchen staff on food preparation, presentation, and service standards.
- Inventory Management and Cost Control: Manage inventory levels and implement cost control measures to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen areas are maintained in accordance with city and state health department codes and that health and sanitation standards are met.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary Arts Degree: Two (2) year culinary arts degree preferred or the combination of education and experience.
- Asian Cuisine Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in Asian cuisine, including sushi preparation and presentation.
The Sous Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
Native American Preference PolicyThe Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
Employment ProcessSeminole Gaming's employment process requires candidates to obtain gaming licensure by successfully completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to beginning employment.
