Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Triage Specialist to join our team at Northshore. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments via telephone to determine the level of care required
  • Direct patients to the appropriate level of care, whether it's emergency department, urgent care, or physician office
  • Provide accurate and timely information to patients and caregivers, utilizing teach-back methodology to ensure understanding
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to convey patient information and issues
  • Escorts patients to examination rooms, obtains vital signs, and prepares patients for exams and procedures
  • Performs immunizations and assists with diagnostic procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science (preferred)
  • 1 year of telephone triage experience (preferably in a medical practice setting)
  • Current RN licensure in Illinois
  • American Red Cross CPR certification
