We are currently looking for a Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist to efficiently collect blood samples from patients. This position is per diem, with variable hours, and the specialist will operate primarily within the Twin Cities metro area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from clinic patients for laboratory testing.
  • Ensure proper labeling and identification of samples and patients.
  • Confirm patient details and laboratory requests, ensuring compliance with monitoring programs.
  • Document lab results and integrate them into medical records, sharing findings with healthcare providers.
  • Utilize patient condition forms to track changes in behavior and communicate observations to the healthcare team.
  • Transport medications and specimens as needed.
  • Maintain punctuality in scheduled blood draws and provide additional support as required.
  • Adhere to safety standards and infection control policies.
  • Assist medical staff with both technical and non-technical support.
  • Keep work areas organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance professional skills.
  • Understand and comply with relevant laws and regulations governing phlebotomy practices.
  • Exhibit knowledge of basic first-aid procedures.
  • Handle interactions with mental health patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
  • Experience with a minimum of 100 successful blood draws.
  • Willingness to travel to patients' locations for sample collection.
  • Flexibility to start work early in the morning.
