Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides high-quality patient care services to inpatients and outpatients as directed by physicians. This role involves basic respiratory care, emergency respiratory care, ventilator management, and pulmonary testing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients, including basic respiratory care, emergency respiratory care, and ventilator management.
  • Conduct pulmonary testing and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to departmental standards.
Requirements
  • Current RCP license with the State of California.
  • Minimum of 1 year acute care experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered or Registry Eligible with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
