The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality cardiopulmonary diagnostics, therapeutics, and monitoring services to patients. As a professional caregiver, you will maintain professional standards of conduct and ethics, while providing education to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to unit-based safety and infection control requirements.
- Provide respiratory care therapies or diagnostics to patients, ensuring accurate documentation and charging for services.
- Deliver respiratory education to patients, family members, or other healthcare providers, promoting patient understanding and empowerment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care, including critical care, emergency department, and Rapid Response Team responsibilities.
- Participate in bronchoscopy, bedside pulmonary function testing, and other diagnostic testing as needed.
- Minimum of one year experience in acute care respiratory therapy, with a preference for experience in bronchoscopy and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, with a current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred.
