About the Role

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join its Cardiopulmonary Services team. As a key member of our critical care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting healing, and enhancing the progression of our Cardiopulmonary Services Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote healing of acutely ill patients with compromised cardiac or pulmonary systems through respiratory care, diagnostic testing, and patient education.
  • Encourage and enhance the efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department.
  • Treat patients from newborn to geriatric age groups.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, referring complex issues to the Manager and/or Medical Director as needed.
  • Perform diagnostic testing to optimize patient care, including arterial punctures for blood gas analysis and operation of ABG analyzers.
Requirements
  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License in California.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • PALS certification within 3 months of hire.
  • ACLS certification recommended.
  • Current NRP certification for NICU RCP.
  • English fluency (written and verbally).
