Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician II to join our team at EchoStar Corporation. As a key member of our Hughes Network Systems division, you will be responsible for soldering and assembling electronic components for our satellite communication solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret engineering documentation, manufacturing travelers, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Solder electronic components to J-STD-001 Class II and III standards, and perform rework/repair to IPC 7711 & 7721 standards.
  • Remove, repair, and reapply components on heavy ground plane boards, and solder SMT components down to an 0201-package size or smaller.
  • Use a microscope to solder precision electro-mechanical equipment, wiring harnesses, and PCB Board assemblies used in computers, electronic instruments, and similar electronic systems.
  • Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using soldering iron, gas torch, or electric-ultrasonic equipment.
  • Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to ensure snug fit, using power grinder and hand tools.
  • Remove workpieces from molten solder and hold parts together until color indicates that solder has set.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields.
  • IPC610 and J STD certification required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift to 15 lbs.
