Job Title: Engineering Technician

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our Machine Vision business unit. As an Engineering Technician, you will work under the guidance of engineers to create breadboards and prototypes of design assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established processes to create and test preliminary product assemblies
  • Work from written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions
  • Perform operational test and fault isolation on product assemblies and hardware
  • Determine methods or actions to remedy malfunctions
  • Perform audits and tests of products in development in accordance with test plans and procedures
  • Debug and characterize defects, provide detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports
  • Identify actual or potential problems in test plans or company products
  • Record results of tests and maintain lab documentation as required
  • Work on analysis of processes and deliver results to necessary stakeholders
  • Assist product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures
  • Analyze test results and make recommendations
  • Review changes or upgrades to existing designs and ensure testing is completed for each design revision
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Technician experience
  • Experience configuring scan solutions in a lab environment
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, experience working with fixed industrial scanning and/or machine vision solutions, and commensurate knowledge of technology, products, and marketplace

Position Specific Information:

  • Position will be onsite 5 days a week in Germantown, Maryland or Holtsville, NY
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Salary: USD Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
