About the Position:

We're seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to join our team at JW Speaker. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic circuits for our core business products, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, work lights, and signalization systems.

As an Electronic Engineer at JW Speaker, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, from creating circuitry designs from concept to hardware, resolving issues and problems, brainstorming, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams, reviewing and overseeing tests, and more.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for an individual with 3-5 years of experience in designing electronic circuits, along with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology. You should be able to independently and cross-functionally complete engineering tasks within the product scope, balancing multiple projects at various stages of development.

You should enjoy wearing multiple different hats and exploring new technologies. Experience with PADS, SPICE-based circuit simulation, designing for EMI/EMC, analog circuitry, and switching power supplies (Buck, Boost, SEPIC topologies) is highly desirable.

How You Will Make a Difference:

You will:

  • Design electronic circuitry from concept to hardware, including block diagrams, schematic drawings, layout planning for printed circuit boards (PCBs), and lab development testing.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to design robust products, simplify assembly and testing, and assist in the advancement of state-of-the-art electronic assembly processes.
  • Specify electrical and electronic components and approve sources.
  • Estimate and quote for new projects, including project duration, assumptions, feasibility, risks, product, and project costs relative to all electrical design-related activities.
  • Develop PCB layout experience, including 4-Layer FR4 and single-layer metal-clad.

You will:

  • Approve department documentation and procedures, as well as generate testing procedures and requirements.
  • Guide and support Product Designers and Electronic Technicians, while also supporting Project Managers and other cross-functional team members.
  • Develop initial resource-loaded design project plans and manage the plan execution.
  • Gain knowledge with vehicle lighting requirements and regulations (SAE, ECE, FMVSS).

You will:

  • Use knowledge and understanding of customer technical requirements/specifications and expectations.
  • Complete all assigned design-related activities for NPD and R&D projects accurately and timely.
  • Provide cost estimates for new designs and projects, both high-level and detailed.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external customers and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
